My Fit Foods: making healthy meals easier to order.

A better digital storefront connected customers to the meals they wanted—and connected those orders to the stores preparing them.

01 / The problem

A great in-store experience needed a better online counterpart.

My Fit Foods made prepared, healthy meals convenient. But the website was not yet making it easy to discover, choose, and purchase those meals.

Customers had to bridge the gap between the meals they saw online and products available at their neighborhood store. The digital experience lacked the shopping tools and sense of community that made the brand appealing in person.

For the business, an important journey was incomplete: interest could start on the website, but the path to an order was not connected to store operations.

  • 01
    No complete online purchase path

The site needed to turn browsing into an order for local pickup.

  • 02
    Store-specific choices

Customers needed to see the meals associated with their preferred location.

  • 03
    Limited ongoing engagement

Favorites, reviews, and customer stories were missing from the digital relationship.

02 / The solution

One connected experience, from meal discovery to store fulfillment.

Pixeldust designed and built an e-commerce experience on Drupal 7 and Drupal Commerce, connecting online orders directly to store point-of-sale systems and giving customers richer ways to interact with the brand.

01 / Discover

Browse meals by location

A preferred-store setting helped customers see relevant offerings, explore the menu, and choose food that fit their routine.

02 / Purchase

Order online, pick up locally

A custom commerce flow made the website a practical place to purchase prepared meals before visiting the store.

03 / Fulfill

Connect orders to the POS

Orders were submitted dynamically to each store’s point-of-sale system, connecting the storefront to the people preparing the food.

04 / Engage

Make customers part of the story

Ratings, reviews, saved favorites, and member-submitted Fit Stories encouraged interaction beyond a single purchase.

03 / Business value

The website became part of how the business served customers.

The improvement was operational as well as visual: customers could take action online, while store teams received orders through their existing workflow.

01

A new way to sell

Online ordering and pickup extended the sales experience beyond the store counter, making purchase more accessible to customers planning ahead.

02

Less friction between systems

Direct POS integration helped avoid a disconnected online order queue and aligned website purchases with in-store fulfillment.

03

More reasons to return

Location preferences, saved favorites, and reviews made repeat visits easier and made the product catalog more useful to regular customers.

04

A brand customers could connect with

Customer stories carried the personality of My Fit Foods online, supporting a relationship beyond the transaction.

04 / Technology

The stack behind the experience.

Flexible content, custom commerce, and store-level integration connected what customers saw with what each location could fulfill.
