View rewrite results – filter date/time from date-range picker

I have a content type with a Date-range field – the default output in my view gives me, for example:

Saturday, June 4, 2022 – 16:30 – Saturday, June 4, 2022 – 19:00

What I would like to show is:

Saturday, June 4, 2022, 4.30-7.00pm

I figured in my View > Fields I would rewrite results and add a standard twig filter like:

{{ field_event_date_time|date('M d, Y') }}

but I get no output from this – does anyone know a way to achieve this?
