Product variation will not print paren’ts view mode

I have set up this view to list products, as it turns out the view is returning product variations as well.

The product variation was supposed to render with the parent’s view mode, but it is printing all of the entity’s fields instead.

Just printing all the fields, there is no error message, no twig template suggestion, nothing.

Is this some setting problem ?
