For a few reasons, I don’t plan to transition to Drupal 8 until the end of the year. I’ve been testing the Group (7.x-1.0-beta6) and Organic Groups modules to organize my users and also use their roles within these groups to segment content. Organic Groups was almost perfect but I can’t assign specific content to groups (e.g., editors within Group A can see node 111 but other users within Group A cannot). This module could have worked but it gives an error once you add the group access field to a content type.
Right now, the structure of the Group module is perfect (and will likely be an easier transition to Groups in D8 once I upgrade). However, I can’t get Panels to control access by group membership. Have anyone done this?
