Can not update Drupal 7.83 to Drupal 7.84 and upwards

when updating from Drupal 7.83 to 7.84 and above I am experiencing issues on my live server. I am getting a blank white admin screen after running /update.php. On my local enviroment(MAMP) the updates are working fine. I have been making the core updates to the same site for the last two years and have never had an issue. Does anyone know if anything has changed dramatically in the Drupal 7.84+ to cause an issue?

Also, we have updated the php version on the live server to 7.2(This was after the first time of trying to update to Drupal 7.84) to see if that made any difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
