Marvie is a professional with a really impressive work ethic as he is always up to something, if not working on his own music, he is recording and producing for other artists, if not that he is being a music video director as well as editor or working as a freelance graphic designer. Telling stories and making them come to life. All these skills that he has been self-taught. He has worked with the likes of Sibu Nzuza, Pianola, Dj Syaro, Zingah & Emtee, Warner Bros Production Music Company, Matthias Refeldt(German film composer), Show Killaz, Zile Zondo and Uso Lead just to name a few. He is in on both the front line and behind the scenes of his music career as he is an independent artist. He runs a company he co-founds and is called “thevisualgarage” which specializes in music videos, social media content and event visual coverage. This company gives a platform and helps artists around the 035 to achieve greater heights with high-quality content.
Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?
I am from Durban, South Africa. The music scene is pretty competitive as there are a lot of dope artists around here. It is not as easy to stand out unless you know people that know people. A great way to start standing out is by really popping on the net with your tracks and that is why I am reaching out as much as I possibly can.
