Who are you?
I hate putting labels on myself & my music, but I'd say I'd describe myself as an artist who makes & writes music that you can get lost in. I create my stuff to be like a blanket, enveloping you into my words, voice, stories, messages, & sound. My alias apatheia, which is pronounced a-path-eia, like apathy, but ending in an eia. It means many things to me, but about as vague as I can get with the explanation is it means to let go of your worldly desires, feelings, attachments, etc. It is something I chase everyday of my life & hope to eventually reach such a state of equanimity.
Where are you from?
I am born & raised in Northern California, mainly around the bay area. The music scene here is quite dynamic as far as genre goes. As far as what i make, which I like to call 'ambient indie', artists such as grouper have come out of my area.
