Custom post type or category?

I want to create a similar structure as this website https://www.gamespot.com/games/bloodborne/ has but I don’t understand if their game page acts as a category or as a custom post type.
On the game page, they have some details about the game and a list of all posts related to that game.

So as I see I have two options:

Option 1: Each movie as Custom Post Type

PRO: Easy to customize

CON: I would probably need to use tags related to each movie, which leads to duplicate content (same title)

Option 2: Each movie as Category

PRO: I can easily include each post in its movie-related category

CON: Difficult to customize and not plugin friendly
